At the beginning of March, I got the opportunity to be a part of Singer/Songwriter band ‘Birds in The Woods’. I’m playing as part of the horn section (which is actually a nice break from being front and center), and, at the beginning of March, we recorded the band’s album at Cambridgeside’s Moontower Studios. George Woods and Sue Buzzard (the leaders and partners in crime of the group) have been working really hard with touring and gigging, now playing regularly in various venues in Boston and NYC. The music itself is an interesting blend of folk/singer-songwriter, jazz and funk, and has been getting a lot of great exposure through college radio stations and George’s unique promotional style (want some tips on promoting your band, talk to George!). Check out their fun and awesome website: Birds in the Woods.
